Speeding to the finish line
Today is Thursday 3rd November. That means there are 58 days left of 2022, there are 52 days until Christmas and, a maximum of, 42 days until kids finish school!
Does reading that make you feel a little anxious, uncomfortable or overwhelmed? I know for me it can feel like an avalanche rumbling in the distance with the knowledge that it’s possible I am about to be absolutely swamped.
Sitting underneath that is wondering… What have I achieved this year? Have I reached any goals or intentions I set for myself? Have I made a difference to those in my little world and then beyond? Before celebrating the beginning of a New Year and all the amazing energy it brings, it is so important to reflect on the year that is.
How can you make changes, set new goals, get off the blooming hamster wheel if you don’t take the time to acknowledge where you are now?!
My children are older now, with the middle one a few days off finishing his final school exams phew so the holiday season including meals, outings, gifts all looks quite different to what it did a few years ago. It makes sense to re-evaluate our traditions and how we plan the summer break now that they are so much more independent. Have you done that with your families, I would love to know?
It has been a month or so since I last emailed I think and I have been really searching for what comes next for me and how I can continue to connect, support and interact with you more. I really wanted to reach and out and connect before the end of this year, but knowing that time is precious and in short supply particularly as we head into the pointy end of the year so…
I have put together a workshop called December by Design
This workshop is not to add to your growing list of demands but to take a breath, do some calm and thoughtful planning, be proactive rather than reactive and set ourselves up for an amazing finish to the year.
Let’s take the initiative – reduce the overwhelm and stress, perhaps do things in a different way and create a joyous festive season and beyond.
Please join me on the 16th November at either 10am or 4pm for the December by Design workshop. The cost is $27 and I expect it will run for 1-1.5hrs. Obviously, doing the work together at the time of the workshop is ideal but, if time and commitments don’t allow, there will be a replay available for a limited time.
The biggest happiness is when at the end of the year you feel better than at the beginning.
